Recently I had the privilege of attending a Chicago Blackhawks game in Chicago and having dinner with NHL Hall of Fame Player Stan Mikata #21 of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Talk about a class guy. Stan took the time out of his busy schedule to have dinner with me and Michael McLean, a former hockey league coach from Ontario, to discuss his NHL hockey career.

Upon retirement “Stan the Man” had the second highest career scoring point total of any NHL player after Gordie How.

Mikita retired from the Chicago Blackhawks in 1980 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983.
